During my PhD I’ll be collecting lots of new data to try and understand which shelduck are moving across sea areas, and where, when and how they are doing so. However, I can’t collect all this data alone. I’ll need loads of volunteers to submit counts, sightings, and collect feathers to really understand what’s going on with all the shelduck that hang out in the UK each year. Browse these projects to see how you can get involved as well!
Thanks to everyone who has already helped me collect shelduck feathers across northwest Europe! The stable isotope data they have produced is already advancing our knowledge of shelduck migration ecology.
