Sightings and counts

If you see any shelduck whilst you’re out and about, it would be great if you could submit the sighting, and an estimate of how many birds you saw. The easiest way to do this is via BirdTrack, which allows you to submit sightings of any birds you see whilst you’re out and about. All counts of shelduck submitted to BirdTrack will be immediately accessible for my PhD research.

I’m particularly interested in counts from locations that you bird regularly (at least once a week), where shelduck numbers fluctuate throughout the year. If I get counts from a range of these locations around the UK, I’ll be able to build up a picture of how shelduck move around the country annually.
